Words Have Power

Lifelong Writer, Lifelong Learner
I have loved writing my entire life. Putting words on a page still holds the same magic for me that it first did at age 6.
I had my first piece published in a national magazine at age 12.
In college at Auburn University I majored in journalism with a minor in technical and professional communication. I was a reporter at the university newspaper and a small community newspaper before landing at the Birmingham Business Journal. I held four different titles and was promoted two different times at BBJ over nearly a decade. In 2019, I left the BBJ for an opportunity to oversee the fast-growing email newsletter segment at Cahaba Media Group.
In 2021, I moved my family to Jacksonville, Florida so my daughter could grow up near her grandparents and I joined the Jacksonville Business Journal.
After the JBJ, I was a Reporter at Law360, where I covered real estate law.
Currently I am a Senior Account Executive at Poston Communications.
